4/6/25
Little Rock Rangers - FC Bartlesville 1:1
On Sunday 4/6 we took on the Little Rock Rangers at War Memorial Stadium. The game originally scheduled to be played at Burns Park got moved after the field condition was affected by rain.
This was the first game of the season for the Rangers and FC Bartlesville was a strong favorite after the first 2 wins.
The buffaloes controlled the game for almost the entire first half but had no clear opportunities to score. Gabriel Okita took one shot out of the box that went wide and Simeon Adair was just wide after one of the corner kicks Buffaloes had. The halftime score was 0-0.
Buffaloes entered the second half with great energy and started creating some opportunities. After a quick transition and a through ball for Stefan Cvetanovic from Perica Obradovic, Stefan made a square pass across the box for Gabriel Okita, who remained calm and scored the first goal of the game. This is Gabriel’s first goal on the season in his second appearance, first as a starter.Â
Not long after that, the Rangers got their equalizer after the forward won a second ball and caught the defense on their heels. He was calm enough to place the ball in the bottom left corner.
The remainder of the game saw the Buffaloes attack and create many opportunities but without luck or a final product.Â
Buffaloes are now at the second place in the conference with 7 points after 3 games, still remaining undefeated.
The next match will be at home against Side FC, on Thursday 4/17 at 6 pm.
